Jacqueline
Smith Arrested - Again!
After
13 years of peaceful protest, Jacqueline has found herself arrested
again - The second time in one week. Surely this is more than a coincidence!
At
1.40 p.m. on Friday 19th January 2001, Jacqueline was served with a
notice demanding she appear in Court on January 30th. On Monday morning,
22nd January, she was arrested for breaching a restraint order, handcuffed
and hauled off to jail.
Released
on bail, she appeared in court at 9.00 Tuesday 23rd January, where the
hearing was adjourned until the 1st March.
Ask
yourself:
Why the heavy-handedness?
After 13 peaceful
years, why has the harassment and victimisation started now?
Why
hasn't the National Civil Rights Museum stepped in to preserve civil
rights abuse on their own doorstep?
Even
local police officers cannot believe the way she is being treated -
Just think, if someone with a high profile like Jacqueline can be mistreated
in this way, what chance do you stand?
